Although I always struggle to find sparkly clothes that do not look cheap on petite me, every single November I get sorely tempted by the sparkle that starts appearing in shops. This year, staying true to my current obsession with knitwear, it is sparkly jumpers that have been catching my eye. Here comes a selection of the items I have been flirting with -- should I or should I not? And do any of them tempt you?
& Other Stories, lovely burgundy sparkle knit - how amazing is this colour:
Whistles, an utterly fabulous, subtle colour block knit [it's so subtle you may need a hint: it's the sleeves...] that may help navigate the treacherous cheap-looking zone:
Karen Millen, metallic V-neck cardi -- with very cool overlap buttoning detail [and currently on sale!]:
& Other Stories again, simple longsleeved tops with a hint of casual slouch [if you want more of that, sizing up works with this cut], in silver or green lurex:
Zara, a delicious knitted skirt and top co-ord set featuring multicoloured metallic sparkle [much better in real life I must say, although the skirt, being a rather clingy midi, is not recommended for fellow shorter-legged ladies]:
AllSaints, a flattering, roomy, relaxed, boat-necked number:
And finally, the Keepsake at Asos cropped jumper with whimsical sleeves, somewhat fluffy but a dream with long skirts [as shown in fact; and I happen to own the very same skirt!]:
Wishing you a Merry Party Season!
